New Year Cannabis Recipes 2023

Set yourself up for success this year by starting your resolutions early. Instead of serving unhealthy food at your New Year’s Eve party, try these easy, healthier options that are medicated with Cannabis oil. You can have fun without alcohol and avoiding a hangover the next day

The potency of marijuana oils vary, so for our recipes one serving is equivalent to 1:1 cannabidiol (CBD) to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) oil. If you want to use a different oil, that’s okay! Just be mindful that the cannabis effects will change depending on the type of oil used.

Healthier Cannabis-Infused Avocado Deviled Eggs

Ingredients for Healthier Cannabis-Infused Avocado Deviled Eggs

Makes 24

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and cooled
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1 tbsp light mayonnaise (a vegan mayo works, too)
  • Chives for garnish
  • Dash of paprika
  • 5–10 mL of cannabis tincture (2.25–4.5 mg/serving)

How to Make Healthier Cannabis-Infused Avocado Deviled Eggs

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Slowly add the eggs to boiling water, then turn off heat. Let them cook for 10 minutes in the hot water.
  3. The best way to peel a hard-boiled egg is while it’s still hot. Use a spoon to crack the eggs all around, and then put them under cold water.
  4. Peel the eggs, cut them in half and scoop the yolk out into a medium mixing bowl.
  5. To make the filling, add the pitted and peeled avocado to the bowl with yolks.
  6. After adding the lemon juice, cannabis oil, mayo, mustard, salt and pepper to the bowl, mix all of the ingredients together until they are smooth.
  7. Use a spoon to gently scoop the filling back into the egg white halves.
  8. For extra flavor, top each egg with a sprinkle of paprika and chives.

Cannabis-Infused Turkey & Quinoa Meatballs

Makes 18

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground turkey
  • 2 cups cooked quinoa
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh basil

  4. Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat, then add the extra virgin olive oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully add your meatballs to the pan.
  5. Brown each side for about 1 minute or until golden brown.

Weed Brownies Recipe: The Bud-Filled “Blondie”

Blondies, despite not being brownies, are the lighter cousin of the brownie. They have a rich taste of caramel and brown sugar with a crispy thin coating. You can add anything you want to your blondie mix such as booze, nuts, dried fruits or even more weed! Our simple blondies recipe is quick and easy for anyone to bake – regardless of experience.

Ingredients for Weed Brownies

  • 1 fluid ounce of cannabutter (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of dark brown sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 cup of all-purpose or whole wheat flour
  • 1 large, cold egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

Optional:

  • ½ cup of chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup favorite liquor
  • ½ cup toasted nuts
  • ½ cup dried fruits or shredded coconut
  • ½ teaspoon of a favorite flavoring extract (raspberry, mint, chocolate, almond, coconut, rum, etc.)

The Process:

  1. Before you begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and find a medium-sized deep baking pan. To prepare the pan, line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cannabis butter, unsalted butter, and brown sugar until it’s a smooth consistency. Afterwards, add in the vanilla extract and egg then blend again. Lastly, add flour and any other desired ingredients. Use a whisk or batter stick to beat the mixture for several minutes until it becomes thick and even throughout.
  3. After the batter is complete, pour it into a parchment-lined baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes. To check if they’re done, poke a toothpick into the center of one of them; once the toothpick comes out clean, they’re ready to cool.
  4. Allow the blondies to cool for 5 minutes up to 1 hour, depending on your preference. Cut the tray into 16 pieces and enjoy!

Salty-Sweet Classic Cannabis Hot Cocoa

This rich, flavor-packed hot cocoa is a delicious departure from the norm. By using cannamilk made with coconut milk or cream (and choosing a non-dairy chocolate), this recipe can easily be vegan. Just double check that your dark chocolate does not contain dairy before beginning.

Ingredients for Cannabis Hot Cocoa

  • 3 cups of milk or a non-dairy milk alternative
  • ½ cup of cannamilk
  • ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 8 squares of 72-85% dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup of boiling water
  • ¾ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of half-and-half cream or non-dairy creamer

The Preparation Process:

  1. In a small bowl, blend the sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. In a medium saucepan on medium heat, pour in your boiling water and place the squares of dark chocolate. Keep stirring until the chocolate liquefies with HOT water.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together your dry ingredients: the sea salt, brown sugar, and cocoa powder. Add in the hot water and melted chocolate, whisking until everything is combined.
  3. After you have whisked in your 3 cups of milk or non-dairy alternative, as well as your half-and-half cream or non-dairy creamer and the cannamilk, raise the heat. Then, whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes steamy but not reaches boiling point. With regular milk, you’ll be able to smell a slightly sweet scent once the dairy is ready.
  4. Now that the mixture is removed from the heat, stir in your vanilla extract. Pour your delicious hot cocoa into a mug and enjoy!

How to Make Rhubarb Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rhubarb, chopped into pieces
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • ½ cup + ⅓ cup sugar

Directions:

Start by heating up the chopped rhubarb and water in a saucepan using medium heat. Afterwards, turn down to a simmer and let it cook for 25 – 30 minutes or until most of the pink pigment from the water has dissipated. Finally, take it off the heat and use a fine-mesh strainer to separate any solid pieces of rhubarb from the liquid. Discard what’s left of the cooked rhubarb solids. Add the rhubarb-infused water to a clean saucepan and heat it up. Add the sugar and stir until it’s all dissolved. Take the pan off the heat and let it cool down to room temperature. Pour the liquid into an airtight swing bottle and store it in the fridge until you need it.
