Just like cannabis, honey has been used for thousands of years because of its nutritional and healthful benefits. When you mix the two together, something special happens. We think it’s magic! If you’re interested in honey and have learned about the benefits of CDB, we would like to introduce you to one of the more unusual CBD products: CBD honey.
CBD honey is simply honey that has been infused with CBD.
If you haven’t heard about CBD-infused honey, prepare to get very intrigued. It’s one of the most talked-about trends in the world of CBD, and it offers yet another method to take advantage of this cannabinoid that people are crazy about.
Honey, on the other hand, has an additional health advantage: it’s haut in antioxidants. Honey, like CBD, has a wealth of medicinal benefits that have never been seen before. When combined, they form a rather effective combination that provides a pleasant method to satisfy your wellness requirements.
We’ll look at some of the advantages of both here.
The Health Benefits of Honey
Honey has been a popular component of human diets for hundreds of years. It offers a slew of health advantages that go above and beyond using ordinary table sugar as a natural substitute. The following are some examples:
- Rich in antioxidants
- Beneficial for heart health
- May lower cholesterol levels
- Effective on wounds and burns
The Benefits of CBD
CBD has been a worldwide phenomenon for some time now. This non-psychoactive cannabinoid that is abundantly present in hemp has shown to have enormous potential to support overall body balance and provide numerous advantages.
The way CBD works with the body’s endocannabinoid system is what makes all the difference. CBD affects our natural cannabinoid receptors to help restore homeostasis, or natural balance, to a variety of physiological processes.
CBD is being studied for a variety of new applications. It’s been used to:
- Promote healthy skin
- Maintain a balanced mood throughout the day
- Sleep better at night
- Support healthy joints and muscles
- Improve overall wellness
CBD and honey make an excellent couple, but they’re even more effective when together. Honey goes straight to the bloodstream, allowing it to be a quick means of delivering CBD where your body will utilize it best.
Why Try CBD Honey?
Honey not only has a delicious flavor and is highly beneficial to one’s health, but it also combines additional advantages that can’t be found anywhere else.
Cannabidiol-infused honey is a novel way to consume CBD, which is available in a variety of forms including tinctures and softgels. So, how should you use this honey? We’re pleased you asked. There are practically no limits to the options. Here are a few of our personal favorites.
6 Sweet Ways to Use CBD Honey
Here are some ideas for incorporating CBD-infused honey in your daily routine.
1. Sweetener for Tea
Honey and tea are a match made in heaven. You’ve got a supercharged sweetener when you add some CBD to the mix. We’re also fond of putting it in our coffee.
Cannabidiol-infused honey is an excellent alternative to ordinary honey when you want to sweeten up whatever your cup of tea may be, whether as a morning pick-me-up in a cup of Earl Grey or as a soothing sleep aid added to a cup of chamomile tea.
2. Slathered on a Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich
Did you know that peanut butter is high in tryptophan, the same amino acid found in turkey that makes you drowsy after stuffing your face on Thanksgiving?
Bananas also have tryptophan, which is a natural muscle relaxant. The carbohydrates in the bread are thought to help people fall asleep.
Honey infused with CBD has restorative qualities that make it ideal for making a honey, peanut butter, and banana sandwich as a bedtime snack.
3. Sweeten a Smoothie
We’re huge fans of superfood smoothies. They’re one of the most efficient (and quickest) methods to provide your body with the nutrients it requires to function well. What could be better than a honey-infused CBD-sweetened smoothie to sweeten up a drink?
Cannabidiol honey, which is both beautiful and delicious, has additional health advantages to make you feel alive and your best self.
4. Hangover Remedy
That is something. The next time you go out and overdo it on drinks, honey might be what helps you avoid a head-splitting hangover the next day. Honey is widely regarded as a fantastic method to ease the headache associated with a hangover.
Acetaldehyde is a by-product of alcohol that is harmful to the body. This is why you have a hangover, as it produces a toxic compound called acetaldehyde. The headache, sick stomach, nausea and vomiting are all part of being hungover.
Honey’s fructose aids in the breakdown of alcohol into less harmful byproducts than acetaldehyde. Using this sort of honey for a hangover might provide significant comfort… no need to drink the dog’s hair.
5. Natural Facial
Honey, in particular the kind used in cosmetics, has antibacterial properties that have been studied and shown to be beneficial for acne-prone skin. While it won’t cure all forms of acne, it does seem to significantly reduce the appearance of pimples by draining away extra liquid.
CBD is a wonderful skin brightener, too! The endocannabinoid system in your skin is similar to your own endocannabinoid system, and CBD modulates it to promote balance.
Cannabidiol (CBD) may help your skin look young and healthy. Simply apply this honey to your face before washing it, leave it for a few minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
6. For Cuts, Scrapes and Mild Burns
You may want to think about using cannabidiol-infused honey the next time you get a minor scrape, cut, or mild burn. Simply apply a tiny amount of honey to the damaged region of your body and leave the natural antibiotic properties to work.
This gives the honey some extra punch because it enhances skin health in CBD.
Honey infused with CBD is a great addition to have on hand in the natural medicine cabinet for when you get cut, scrape, or suffer from a mild burn.
How to Make CBD Honey
Making your own CBD honey at home is simple. All you need is a high-quality CBD oil and some honey. If you can’t find it, get the highest quality honey available.
- 16oz high-quality honey
- CBD oil tincture
What you need:
- Glass jar with lid (a mason jar works great)
- Transfer honey to your glass jar using a spoon.
- Place the glass in a saucepan with enough water to match up with the honey and bring to a boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and, when it’s cooled down, add the jar of honey to the saucepan with the lid ajar. Allow 5 minutes for the honey to thicken as it warms up.
- When the honey starts to thin, remove the lid and add the required amount of CBD tincture (how much you use is up to you), stirring it well to ensure uniform distribution.
- After you’ve added the correct amount of CBD, set aside 30 minutes to ensure it’s fully absorbed.
- When you’re done, make sure the top is tightly sealed.
- Store your honey at room temperature.
CBD Honey: How Sweet It Is
Honey and cannabis have a wonderful synergy. Some people believe that honey and CBD are the ideal combination. CBD honey isn’t only used as a sweetener, but it also has several health advantages. It’s also simple to produce at home. If you’re searching for another means to consume CBD on a daily basis, integrating CBD honey into your health regimen is one of the nicest ways imaginable.
