Description
The strain’s name derives from the “energy, creativity and confidence” that patients experience while taking it. Rockstar Kush is a strong indica-dominant hybrid that became well-known in British Columbia because to its therapeutic advantages. The strain’s lineage includes both Rockstar and Bubba Kush, with beta-Caryophllene, Humulene, Linalool, and Myrcene as the major terpenes.
Spinach says that the Rockstar Kush strain has large dense buds covered in trichomes and a pungent piney skunk scent. We recently tried Spinach’s Sensi Star, which we liked, but the same could not be said about their Blueberry strain. So, how does one smoke Rockstar Kush?
Smell
The product was a white plastic container with an easy-open lid. We were greeted by a powerful mostly sweet citrus fragrance, which was tempered by a hint of herbalness. The scent was pleasant but not particularly piney skunky, as we had anticipated.
Appearance
Spinach’s Rockstar Kush, on the other hand, is stunning. However, because no moisture pack was included, the buds were extremely dry and almost crumbled in our hands. The buds were quite large, thick, and had a wide range of greens that made beautiful accents and contrasts against the light brass hairs. The most outstanding feature without a doubt is the abundantly crystalized trichome covering that glimmers in the light when examined closely.
Flavour
Prepare for the negative side, folks! The flavor is still sweet citrus, but it quickly gives way to a herbal aftertaste. Being gentle on the palette is a welcome difference from the intensity of the fragrance. However, be ready for a harsher smoke with some coughing if you’re smoking this stuff now that it’s dated. If only this product had been more fresh, smoking would have been much more pleasurable.
Experience
Spinach’s Rockstar Kush is a good strain, especially taking into account the low price. This strain provides a powerful and relaxing high while having little impact on mental function. If it had been more fresh, this could have easily rated an 8 or 8.5 out of 10, especially given the cost. Even so, if you’re searching for a strong indica at an inexpensive cost and don’t mind hacking some buds, you should give Spinach’s Rockstar Kush a try.
